Easter Holiday Events In West Yorkshire For You And All The Family

The Easter holidays are the perfect introduction to spring. With the sun shining, flowers blooming and weather getting warmer, we can finally start to spend more time outdoors. Treat yourself to one of these fantastic events to celebrate Easter in style this year.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt/ Easter Traditions, 30th March – 2nd April

East Riddlesden Hall will transform its grounds into an egg hunt for you and all the family. You’ll follow a nature trail dotted with clues hidden all around the garden. Don’t forget to search high and low!

If you complete the trail and solve the clues, you’ll reach a Cadbury chocolate surprise. Standard admission applies with a £2 charge for the trail sheets. Booking is not required, so just turn up on a sunny day and have some Easter fun!

Location: Bradford Rd, Riddlesden, Keighley, BD20 5EL

Royal Armouries Easter Tournament, 30th March – 2nd April

Set in the grand arena of Leeds Royal Armouries, the Easter Tournament will be a spectacle like you’ve never seen before. If you love horses and history, this event is a must-see, transporting you back in time to the Medieval era.

Watch as knights from England, France, Poland and Australia joust in a tournament to win a prestigious trophy and be crowned the winner.

Stick around before and after the show to hear about the tales of the tournament, demonstrations on the knight’s armour and sword combat as well.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so get yours before they do! Buy your ticket here.

Easter Eggspress, 30th March- 2nd April

All aboard! The Kirklees Light Railway are inviting you to ride their steam trains, take part in egg & spoon races and plenty of other activities. And, the most important part, you’ll get to meet the Easter Bunny himself!

Help to gather his discarded carrots to win a chocolate treat or a prize if you find a golden egg. There will be plenty of things to do, from rides and a bouncy castle to face painting and entertainers. You’ll also have the chance to do some Easter crafts.

Advanced booking is advised. Buy your tickets online here.

Dragon Egg Hunt, 5th April

Taking place in the historic grounds of Pontefract Castle, this is an egg hunt like no other. Rather than following Easter Bunny trails, you’ll be looking for dragon footprints to lead you to the dragon’s egg. There are prizes in store for those who manage to find it.

This is a fantastic chance to see the castle in a new way and explore its grounds. You can also partake in a range of Easter games, crafts and other family activities during your day.
