Summer Design Trends For Conservatories

Summer Design Trends For Conservatories

The weather has been a bit of a let down so far this summer, with opportunities to rest up in the garden and catch some rays few and far between.

When your plans to enjoy your garden are washed out, it’s slightly less frustrating if you have a conservatory you can take sanctuary in until any unwelcome showers cease. Nicer still if your conservatory has a proper summery feel about it.

Then, rather than impatiently wishing away the rain, you’ll be more than happy to wait for the sun to reappear.

New Glass Roof

The conservatories that heat up like greenhouses in summer typically do so because they don’t have a well-insulating roof.

Our solar-controlled glass roof system is designed to fend off the glare of the sun and high external temperatures to stop you squinting and to help you feel cooler in your conservatory space.

Your dependence on artificial light throughout the day will also be reduced and brighter surroundings make for a seemingly roomier location. Or you could choose a tiled roof instead.

Energy Efficient Windows

You don’t want your old existing windows to impede the significantly improved thermal efficiency provided by a new roof. So, consider having them upgraded at the same time for optimum comfort.

The combination of a new roof and the latest double glazing will keep the internal temperature in check so that you’re not left with beads of sweat on your brow.

If you wish to retain your old window frames for a roof replacement, a member of Visual’s surveying team will carry out tests to ascertain if they’re stable enough to sustain its weight.

Bi-Folding Doors

Giving your conservatory an outdoors-y ambience will make those pesky rainy days much easier to bear. A bi-folding door will assist with this.

Use its unique folding feature to dramatically open the extension to the garden and join up the indoors and outdoors.

Once the rain comes to a halt, proceed across the low threshold of the bi-folding door to reconcile with your patio, decking or garden area and revel in the sun’s return.
