The Cost Of Household Energy Set To Be Simplified

Those struggling to afford the cost of their energy bills have been given good news after the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg announced that a deal had been reached with the big six energy suppliers where they will have to write to customers to advise them of the best tariff and how they get it. This could save families up to £100 per year.
It is hoped that this landmark agreement will hopefully put an end to the over-charging suffered by large numbers of customers over the past few years. It is estimated that seven out of ten people are currently on an incorrect energy tariff.
Once people begin to realise the energy savings they could make it will hopefully encourage them to then take out energy efficient measures such as the installation of UPVC windows and patio doors. A new set of windows and doors will help retain any heat created by your boiler so that you use it less frequently and lower the cost of energy even further.

For proof of the effectiveness of new windows at generating a comfortable atmosphere you only need to look towards conservatories in Leeds and conservatories in Yorkshire. Whereas, an old home extension would become too hot in summer and too cold in winter, a modern conservatory remains useable whatever time of year it is all because of the type of glass fitted to it. The energy efficient glass works all-year round to prevent cold air from making its way into living spaces, whilst cutting heat loss.
Though it is great news that finding a cheap tariff is set to be made easier, there will be no overall let-up in the cost of energy long-term so getting new windows installed should be high on your list of priorities!
