To underline the increasing threat posed to nature, they selected the delicate green shade for both its nature-led undertone and in the hope that it will boost the connection between our indoor habitats and the outside world.
Its warm, neutral tone is uplifting enough to grace any room, but it is seen as a hue most befitting for bedrooms, kitchens and home offices.
Irregular rugs
When working on a tight budget, a simple change of floor covering can be transformative enough in rooms and give them a new, engaging centrepiece.
But don’t do it with a standard circular, rectangular or square rug as the ‘in’ thing this year will be to decorate floors with angular, geometric and curved rugs.
Put down right in the middle of a conservatory design, a misshapen rug will create so much talk amongst any house guests who join you.
