Needing virtually no maintenance and much lighter than a traditional roof, it’s ideal for both conservatories and orangeries.

A solid tiled roof adds a completely novel dimension

The energy efficiency offered by old conservatories is so low partly because of the poor insulating qualities of their roofing systems. You may relate to this if you have a conservatory that was built some time ago and nowadays get very little use out of the space.

Visual has come up with a solution, a highly sophisticated roof that can take the place of your current roof and hugely improve thermal efficiency indoors. Often, we don’t even need to upgrade the existing framework and can just integrate the new roof on top of it, or as it’s termed, give it a “top hat”.

Tiled Roof Conservatory
A solid tiled roof will be one of the best investments you ever make…

Having a conservatory that you can only intermittently use is no good, especially if you have a large family to accommodate and very little space to play with outside of the conservatory. But this is what happens if your old roof can’t keep out the weather. There will be no such worries when a solid tiled roof has been fitted as it has insulated plywood and rigid insulation board to halt heat loss and improve energy efficiency.

Solid Tiled Roof Conservatory
Solidify your conservatory’s look and feel…

After the solid roof has been integrated into your conservatory, its interior will feel more luxurious than ever before, far more luxurious than it did with a glass or polycarbonate roof. Admittedly, you will lose a bit of natural light, but the windows and doors will still bring it in so that the conservatory remains bright and inviting. The tiles in the roof are unbelievably like authentic tiles and slates, with the same hallmarks and characteristics.

Let our designers know how you envisage your tiled roof conservatory looking and functioning and they will use this information as the basis for the design.

It can be helpful for them if you supply some measurements and photographs at your first design appointment. They will be thoroughly analysed and then work will start on realising the vision you have of your tiled roof solution.

Tiled Roof Insulation

The materials complied to make the Warm Roof, including rigid insulation board and insulated plywood, are thermally efficient and prevent heat loss, keeping the room at a more comfortable temperature all year round and increasing its usability.

Tiled Roof Tiles

Externally the lightweight roof coverings emulate the appearance and colour of traditional roofing tiles or slate so that you can choose a finish that is in-sync with the rest of the property.

Tiled Roof Glass

Available with a variety of styles and roof glazing to suit all, so you can find the best option to suit you and your home. Glass panels and Velux windows can be seamlessly integrated exactly where you want them.

Pelmet

Fully insulated internal Pelmet which gives a room-like feel and is ideal for downlights and speakers.

FINISH YOUR ROOF OFF IN STYLE

Visual has a carefully selected range of finishing touches for our tiled roof conservatories, including various attractive colours and rugged tile options.

Our tiles and slates are so strong and tough

Compared to a traditional tiled roof, our lightweight tiled roofing system for conservatories and orangeries is nowhere near as weighty and barely needs any upkeep.

If you opt for a design with a low-pitched roof, our lightweight slates easily outperform traditional slates and will keep their good looks for much longer.

The secret behind our aluminium finishes is that they’re powder-coated, which stops them fading…

We discovered the formula to making our aluminium finishes look so spectacular and it’s taking a full 11 stages to create each individual colour. Even to the touch, they feel extraordinarily good.

Sublimation is the process used to bring our contemporary aluminium woodgrains to life should you be a fan of Walnut, Rosewood or Oak. Close up and from a distance, you would believe that they’re natural wood finishes.

Handles that match the windows for elegance…

Many hours of work are dedicated by our craftspeople to the development of our traditional and contemporary-styled window handles. You will keep finding an excuse to use the handles to operate your windows.

The locking system in the heart of the handles will ensure the windows don’t shift an inch when locked.

A plasterboard or timber internal finish will work a treat...

The favoured internal finish for a Warm Roof tends to be painted plasterboard as it offers a clean and spotless effect that you’ll never tire of looking at. But there are other options available to you such as a timber clad ceiling which really shows its class in the winter due to the richness and texture of the dark shades emitting warm undertones. It gives you that cabin-like feel and act as a great accompaniment to any integrated roof windows or centre pivoting timber roof windows.
