Meet The Country’s Most Expensive Home

It’s the aspiration of every homeowner to someday win the lottery and move onto pastures new into the most extravagant and spacious property they can afford.

Well not even a sole win of the main jackpot in the Euromillions would be enough to buy 18 Carlton House Terrace, which is currently on the market for a whopping £250 million!

Depending on where you look online, full details on the building and who owns it are decidedly sketchy, but this is what we definitely know.

The six-storey building has 25 bedrooms (50 rooms in total) and is situated just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, containing 50,000ft of living space, which is almost the equivalent of a full-size football pitch; just imagine the parties you could have in there!

Stamp duty for anyone interested in purchasing the property (if only) will cost an eye-watering £17.5 million; though somewhat surprisingly, council tax will only set you back £1,361 annually.

According to Forbes, the owners of Carlton House Terrace are the reclusive Hinduja brothers, owners of a global conglomerate company and the UK’s richest Asians, who collectively have an estimated wealth of around £8 billion.

It won’t surprise you to learn that the property isn’t being advertised on Rightmove. In fact so secretive are its owners that they have only released black and white interior shots of the building, first taken back in 1890, something they’ve done for ‘security reasons’.

Should it sell, it will become the most expensive house ever sold in the UK. So get routing down the back of the sofa and check those trouser pockets for loose change.

However, if it will forever remain outside of your price bracket then why not improve what you already have with Conservatory, Window and Door Outlet’s fantastic range of products.
